While browsing Top Gear reviews, I saw something that looked a little odd. Scores of 0/10? That's pretty harsh.

Kinja'd!!!

OK so it's clearly a typo, and a rare one at that. Well, three typos actually. While I won't copy and paste the entirety of the reviews, I can say that they aren't as damming as the scores that accompany them.

So far, after checking their official website I haven't found these reviews. But I didn't dig that hard because, well, it's the Cruz, 500L, and Duster. They just aren't that particularly interesting to me.

I don't know if they're intentional scores, but I kind of like the idea of reviewers giving a 0/10 rating to any car where there's something else on the market that does the same job better, for the same or less money.

I could believe that's true of the Cruze and 500L Twinair, although possibly somewhat harsh on the Duster. And like you, I can't be bothered to check, because honestly, who cares?

Yeah, the TwinAir is a 900cc (edit: correction, 875cc) turbocharged twin cylinder.

Actually, I'm not the least bit surprised.

0.875 liter 2 cylinder engine.

0-62 in 12.3 seconds.

I think I can shit more displacement... The 500 is slow enough with the 1.4, let alone a 500L with less engine.

It actually would be quicker than the 1.4...it's got a much nicer torque curve. Hammond has a 500 TwinAir and loves it.

85hp, 85kg total engine weight. Gets something like 54mpg in the 500. It uses a hydraulic VVT system to do all kinds of magic with the intake charge.

I'm seeing 105 bhp... but I'm checking Top Gear, so we know that isn't guaranteed to be accurate ;)

There is a 85hp and a recently added 105hp version.

My bad! The version in the 500L is uprated to 105hp.

The cool thing about the multiair system is that it can make a SOHC behave kinda like DOHC, because although the intake valves are actuated from the same camshaft as the exhaust, it goes through a set of hydraulic actuators, allowing the intake valves to deviate from the cam profile as required. Pretty smart design really.

I figured that, but 0.9 sounds more like a finance rate than an engine size. "Yea I got a zero point nine in that puppy" just sounds wrong. If it's sub one liter, they should just use cc's to name the engine.
